CES season is upon us again! The 2014 International CES will be another brilliant coming together of the brands, markets and economies that are pushing consumer electronics into the future. Thousands of products are launched and showcased each year, and you’ll find AfterShokz and its bone conduction headphones right in the thick of it again this year. For us at AfterShokz, it’s a very exciting time of year, indeed! What follows is your guide to all things AfterShokz at the show this year, and a little more about what to expect from CES 2014.

The Ear Opening Experience at #CES2014

We’re excited to take part in the consumer electronic industry’s most important event. CES 2014 will host over 300 keynotes and conference sessions (more about that later), Image may be NSFW.

exhibit over 140 startups, host over 6,000 media outlets (such as journalists, bloggers, etc.), and welcome 141 federal and state government officials. AfterShokz will be displaying the latest evolution of our wearable technology in South Hall 2 at booth 26304 this year.

If you’re looking for a preview of what’s in store, imagine a totally ear opening listening experience! While we can’t say we invented bone conduction, our technological enhancements certainly push its boundaries. Our patented OpenFit™ design guides mini vibrations through your cheekbones to your inner ears, delivering sound without plugging or covering them. This unmatched open ear listening experience is further enriched through our patented PremiumPitch™ and LeakSlayer™ technologies: exclusive innovations in wearable technology that make it possible — and safe — to tune in to music or voice communication without tuning out the world.

We can’t wait to share our unique open ear headphones packed with patented technologies with the world again at this year’s show.

Our president and CEO, Bruce Borenstein, who championed our award-winning headphones, is taking an active role in the more conceptual side of CES 2014 by participating in two Conference Tracks. The 2014 Conference Program grants attendees access to leading thinkers, top universities, the media, entertainment, trade and research groups, and the like by way of directed discussions on pressing electronics topics. Bruce Borenstein is no stranger to innovative thinking, as his career history and his recent essay on repurposing can attest.

CES Panel Discussion #1:
Technology and Outdoor Fitness
January 7, 2014, 11:25 a.m.-12:05 p.m. | LVCC, North Hall N250

The Fitness Tech Track is the first conference track to which Mr. Borenstein will lend his expertise by sitting on a panel discussion titled Technology and Outdoor Fitness. Its moderator is Eric Adams, Technology Director of Men’s Health Magazine. Our president will sit on the panel to discuss both the ways in which the tech field is evolving to accommodate outdoor fitness and what potential exists on the consumer horizon for electronic manufacturers like AfterShokz. There is a fee for this one, so you’ll want to be sure to click the link above to secure your spot in advance of the Consumer Electronics Show’s start.

CES Panel Discussion #2:
Consumer Electronics Can Change the World
January 7, 2014, 12:30-1:30 p.m. | LVCC, North Hall N261

The Marketing and Engagement conference track is the second conference track that Bruce will be a part of during CES 2014. He will be sitting in as a panelist for the Consumer Electronics Can Change the World discussion, moderated by Executive Director of the CEA Foundation, Stephen Ewell. It’s a larger panel, where Mr. Borenstein will help define modern philanthropy. The leaps and bounds we’ve made in consumer electronics offer us unique opportunities to do good in the world. We’ll learn about the inspiring humanitarian efforts leading CE organizations have offered to the less fortunate and discuss the future potential for philanthropy. It is free to listen in on this discussion, but we recommend going through the motions of securing your spot through the CES website via the link above.

Be a Part of the CES 2014 Conversation!

To actively participate in the consumer electronics world, you’ve got to get in on the ground floor at CES 2014. We’re not sure exactly what to expect, but we do know that what we see will paint a vivid portrait of the future of consumer electronics. We’re happy to be a part of that conversation. Stay tuned for more #CES2014 updates!
